Frequently asked questions
Q: What is the minimum investment?
A: Minimum is ₹50,000 per deal. There is no maximum per deal, but each offering is capped at 200 investors under Companies Act §42.
Q: How are MSMEs verified?
A: Each listing is reviewed by a chartered accountant or company secretary against a published checklist covering incorporation, audited financials, director KYC and statutory filings. Every check records its source and the date it was obtained.
Q: What if an MSME defaults?
A: You are a shareholder in that company and bear the risk of it. MSME Exchange does not hold your money and cannot refund it: under Section 42(6), if allotment is not completed within 60 days the company must repay you within a further 15 days, with interest thereafter. MSME Exchange keeps the records of what was offered, agreed and paid, and makes them available to you.
Q: Are returns guaranteed?
A: No. Returns are not guaranteed, projected or assured by MSME Exchange. An unlisted holding has no secondary market: you may be unable to sell for several years, or at all, and you may lose the entire amount invested.
Q: How do I exit my investment?
A: There is no secondary market, and MSME Exchange does not operate one or plan to. An exit depends on the company — a buyback, a later funding round that includes a secondary sale, or an acquisition — and none of those is within MSME Exchange's control or promised by it. You may be unable to exit for several years, or at all.
